ATTENTION: Hotspots derived from the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) sensor onboard NOAA-21 are now available. The NOAA-21 feed is off by default and can be included as an additional layer by selecting ‘AFIMG NOAA-21’, or ‘AFMOD NOAA-21’ to add these to the map.

ATTENTION: The Terra and Aqua satellite missions are approaching their end of life. Terra MODIS Hotspots data is no longer available as there is no direct broadcast, and support for Aqua MODIS is ramping down. DEA Hotspots will continue to provide MODIS-based Hotspots for as long as the Aqua feed continues to be available.

Users of MODIS Hotspots should prepare by transitioning to using the VIIRS Hotspots and Himawari-9 Hotspots.
